Moving in Unison
New song, post valentines day love thoughts and the headliner tour.
Switching to the stack
If you’re a regular FCW email subscriber you will maybe be a little confused to be getting a substack email from me (fanclubwallet).
I used to use Mailchimp to send emails, but they added a bunch of new AI features and are forcing me to upgrade and pay like 35$ a month for a bunch of AI crap I don’t need!! So here I am on Substack.
The frequency of emails you get from me probably won’t change, but if this makes you want to unsub I understand… anyways back to your regularly scheduled fanclubwallet update.
Moving Unison
Today I released a new single, my first love song “Moving Unison”. I was in the car and wondering if all the other people in the carpool lane are lovers. I was also thinking about that Who’s Line Is It Anyways? game “Helping Hands”. The one where one actor is another actors hands? It’s ridiculous but I think kind of a nice metaphor for love, that you just kind of become one with each other?

About the song/video
I went to L.A. a few years ago with Michael and it was our first time travelling together just the two of us. We did all these sessions with producers which is generally not something I like to do, but we had a few good ones. One of those was with Pat Linehan, he was so chill and relaxed and didn’t force anything, I was able to just spit out these silly lyrics i’d written on my phone while driving around L.A. with Michael and it worked perfect. We sat on the song so long… but I’d always wanted to put it out around valentines day so it ended up being perfect.
I directed/filmed/edited a music video for this one starring my friends Quinn and Hannah (lol), playing two people in love just spending a regular night together. I’ve never had actors be in a music video before and it was so great to not have to force musicians to act. The song is about me and Miki, so I wanted the video to sort of reflect what our lives are like, our favourite restaurant, favourite board game, etc. But it’s really just supposed to be about how with the right person, a normal night can be the best night ever. Also i’ve seen too many heartbreaking sad queer music videos…this one is just happy…no tragedies. Anyways i’m pretty proud of it, so take a look if you want!
Tour
We are going on our first ever headline tour, Chicago, NYC, LA, Boise (Treefort fest). Buying tickets in advance to these shows means more to me than you can imagine, and helps make sure the shows actually get to happen.
I am really nervous to headline for the first time. We’re going to play a lot of songs though, stuff from every release! I’m going to make a fool of myself on stage and it’s going to be awesome. We can high five after. Maybe comment what song’s you wanna hear?
TICKETS
Ok that’s it. Hopefully I can get the hang of this thing. I feel like an old man.
